Conseils d’utilisation de l’epoxy en toute sécurité

Nettoyage WEST SYSTEM

  • Contain the applied epoxy with sand, clay or any other inert absorbent material. Use a scraper to collect as much product as possible. Finish with an absorbent paper towel.
  • Do NOT use sawdust or other lightweight cellulosic material to absorb hardeners and/or do NOT place a hardener in a garbage can containing sawdust or other light cellulosic material – spontaneous combustion may occur.
  • Clean resin, epoxy mixture residue or unt hardened epoxy with WEST SYSTEM cleaning solvent® 850. Clean hardener residue with hot soapy water.
  • Get rid of resin containers, hardeners and empty containers in compliance with local waste disposal regulations.
  • Do NOT discard the resin or hardener in a liquid state. Resin and hardener waste should be mixed and hardened (in small amounts) into a harmless inert solid.

Careful! Large amounts of epoxy mixture in the hardening phase can become hot enough to ignite surrounding combustible materials and release hazardous fumes. Place the epoxy mixing containers in a safe and airy place, at a safe distance from any person and combustible materials. Discard the solid mass only when it has completely hardened and cooled. Respect local regulations.
